A 2019 consumer complaint analysis released by the Jiangsu Provincial Consumer Rights and Interests Protection Committee on January 9 shows that the social platform's frequent live shopping problems have become a new type of complaint hotspot.
In recent years, live delivery of goods has become a new mode of shopping, many consumers choose to fast hand, shaking sound and other live platform shopping. According to the complaint data counted by the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of Consumer Protection, the number of complaints involving live shopping in the province reached 986 in 2019, becoming a new type of complaint hotspot.
According to the responsible person of Jiangsu Provincial Committee of Consumer Protection, the problem of the complaint is mostly focused on the wrong quality of the product, the seller's breach of contract, no delivery or delayed delivery, and the limited access of consumers to operators and commodity information. Due to consumer disputes involving foreign businesses, large regional span, consumer proof is difficult, high cost of rights.
For example, on october 20,2019, consumer mr. yang bought a velvet quilt via a live broadcast platform, which the merchant advertised was filled with 100% velvet and the fabric was a cotton rainproof cloth. After receiving the goods, mr. yang found that the so-called \"velvet quilt\" fabric was 100% chemical fiber cloth, and the filling inside the quilt was garbage cotton.
Jiangsu Provincial Committee of Consumer Protection issued consumer tips, consumers in the social platform live shopping, should first understand the quality and price of products purchased, do not believe in absolute language advertising, not be misled by obvious low prices. Pay more attention to the third party platform and related operators qualification and credit, rational consumption, avoid blind purchase, impulsive consumption, guard against low price inferior quality, high price counterfeiting and other traps.
